Seventy new Indian words, including Vada, Jugaad, Gulab Jamun, Bachcha, Bapu, and Dadagiri, were added to the Oxford English Dictionary in its September update. Taken from several regional languages including Tamil and Gujarati, the words also include Mirch Masala, Keema, Funda, Chamcha, and Devi. With the latest additions, the number of Indian words in the dictionary has reached nearly 1,000.
