After last year's floods during the Manimahesh Yatra, the Chamba administration has introduced new safety measures for this year's pilgrimage. The yatra will have mandatory online registration, daily pilgrim quotas, drone surveillance and an e-pass system for the first time. Around 5,000 pilgrims will be allowed daily initially, while the pilgrimage to Manimahesh Lake will begin on August 25.
