Dalai Lama honoured with Ladakh's highest civilian award

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama was honoured with Ladakh's highest civilian honour 'dPal rNgam Duston' award for his contribution to humanity on Friday. The 87-year-old was conferred the award by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) in Leh on the occasion of Union Territory Declaration Day. LAHDC chief Tashi Gyalson appealed for the conferment of Bharat Ratna on Dalai Lama.
