Ex-Australia cricketer Damien Martyn has woken up from life-threatening induced coma and is responding to treatment for meningitis. "He has responded extraordinarily well since coming out of coma to the point where his family feels it's like some sort of miracle," ex-cricketer Adam Gilchrist said. Meningitis is an inflammation of protective membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
