Maharani Kamasundari Devi, third wife of Maharaja Kameshwar Singh and the last Maharani of the erstwhile Darbhanga Raj, died at age 96 after being unwell for several months at her Bihar residence. Her death has prompted condolences from royal family members and other dignitaries across the Mithila region. She married Maharaja Kameshwar Singh in 1940, who passed away in 1962.
