The 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to American biochemist David Baker, Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and Google DeepMind director John Jumper. Baker has been honoured for "computational protein design", while Hassabis and Jumper have been honoured for "protein structure prediction". A prize money of 11 million Swedish kronor (₹8.9 crore) will be shared among the trio.
