Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on Tuesday beat world number one Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1 in the second round of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo. The defeat is Djokovic's first loss in the opening match of a tournament since the Barcelona Open in 2018. Davidovich Fokina will face either Daniel Evans or David Goffin in the third round.
