A Delhi-based lawyer, Ajay Srivastava, purchased an ancestral plot belonging to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim for ₹2 crore, spending 1300 times more than the reserve price of ₹15,440. In 2020, he purchased Dawood's childhood home in Mumbake village where he established a 'Sanatan Dharma pathshala'. "I will start a Sanatan school on this plot after getting it converted," he said.
