Day after CM Rekha met activist, MCD suspends official for demolition of her animal shelter

The MCD has suspended Junior Engineer Vikas Kumar Gupta for the alleged demolition of animal welfare activist Jagriti Mishra's under-construction shelter in Nizampur. This came a day after CM Rekha Gupta met Jagriti and assured her ₹5-lakh financial assistance. Jagriti alleged she refused to pay bribe to people linked to a local AAP leader, following which the shelter was demolished.
