Deadline for VPN providers to comply with new rules extended to Sept 25

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has provided a three-month extension to VPN service providers to comply with new rules that require them to store user data for at least five years. The rules will now come into force on September 25. The extension comes after several VPN providers recently announced their intentions to remove local servers in India.
