Our investigation is into an influencer account that is stealing videos of young Indian women on Instagram and morphing their faces using generative AI technology. The deepfake Instagram handle has 260,000 followers and gets millions of views. The rise of AI-generated influencers on Instagram raises concerns about the proliferation of deepfakes and how seeing is no longer believing.
