OpenAI's Vice President of Global Affairs Anna Makanju has said that the issue of deepfakes cannot be resolved completely only through a technical solution. "There's still a lot of societal [work to be done]...Can you create campaign rules that require political parties to proactively say that they will not be deceptive? I think that this has to…be a whole-of-society solution."
