DeepSeek unveils coding agent to take on Anthropic's Claude Code

Chinese AI startup DeepSeek has unveiled a prototype of an autonomous coding agent called Super-agent to compete with Anthropic's Claude Code. The open-source tool can monitor developers' group chats for coding problems and suggest solutions without being asked. DeepSeek said the tool aims to reduce human involvement, as Chinese AI firms step up efforts to challenge US rivals.
