Defence stocks rallied on Wednesday after the Indian Armed Forces carried out 'Operation Sindoor', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders jumped 2%, while Hindustan Aeronautics rose 1.5% and Bharat Electronics gained 1.22% in early trade. The broader Nifty Defence index climbed nearly 1%, reversing the previous day's losses.
