The China-made HQ-9C air defence system was displayed during the Victory Day parade in China. Notably, a version of this system was used by Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, but it failed to protect Pakistani airspace. India had successfully destroyed critical air bases of Pakistan after Pakistan-based terrorists killed 26 civilians in Pahalgam in April.
