Defending champions Arsenal defeated Coventry City 3-0 in the Premier League (PL) 2026-27 opener at the Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday (IST). Kai Havertz opened the scoring in the 15th minute, followed by goals from Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard in the 23rd and 49th minutes, respectively. Arsenal will next face Aston Villa in Birmingham on September 1 (IST).
