The building of Dehradun Defence College in Uttarakhand's Maldevta on Monday collapsed amid heavy rainfall in the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier issued a red alert and predicted heavy rainfall with lightning in six districts of the state for the next twenty-four hours. Meanwhile, at least seven people were killed in cloud burst in Himachal Pradesh's Solan.
