Delhi has recorded the highest 24-hour rainfall in the month of June in 88 years, as per the India Meteorological Department. The national capital received 228 mm of rainfall between Thursday and Friday, while in June 1936, it received 235.5 mm of rainfall in 24 hours. Usually, Delhi reportedly gets an average of 80.6 mm of rainfall in June.
