Delhi collects ₹68-lakh fine during anti-pollution drive; 1,500 vehicles sent back

Delhi authorities imposed fines and environmental compensation totalling ₹68.4 lakh as part of an anti-pollution drive on the first day of the Winter Action Plan. Nearly 15,000 vehicles were checked for BS-VI compliance, with 1,539 turned back at border points. In a drive targeting vehicles operating without valid PUCCs, authorities issued 566 challans and imposed penalties totalling ₹56.6 lakh.
