Delhi deploys Finnish dredger worth ₹8 cr to curb Yamuna pollution

The Delhi government has deployed a dredger, imported from Finland at a cost of ₹8 crore, in the Najafgarh drain to curb the flow of untreated sewage and sludge into the Yamuna River. The drain accounts for nearly 70% of the river’s total pollution load. “This drain has to be treated with the best...technology,” Delhi PWD minister Parvesh Verma said.
