Delhi's private power distribution companies have reportedly demanded an increase of up to 20% in tariff so that they can meet the rising cost of power procurement. As per reports, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd has demanded an increase of 20% and BSES Yamuna Power Ltd (BYPL) has sought a hike of 19%.
