Delhi government will probe the Chandni Chowk Redevelopment Project over alleged financial irregularities. The project cost surged from the initial estimate of ₹65.6 crore to ₹145 crore. Officials said that PWD continued spending beyond the ₹99.68 crore sanctioned limit without obtaining mandatory revised approval. Authorities flagged deviations and unapproved expenditures exceeding ₹370 crore.
