Delhi HC cancels Sadar Bazar trader's 'ZORA' trademark after ZARA objects

Delhi High Court cancelled the trademark registration of 'ZORA' used by a Sadar Bazar-based fabric trader after Zara's owner challenged it. The trader argued 'ZORA' was a Hindu name meaning 'dawn' and was adopted in good faith. The court held 'ZORA' and 'ZARA' were visually similar, and the one-vowel distinction wouldn't register with persons of "average intelligence and imperfect recollection".
