Delhi HC halts JNU PG admissions based on deprivation points

The Delhi High Court has directed JNU to halt postgraduate admissions based on its deprivation points system for the 2026-27 session. The court said that the system permits JNU to "alter" marks obtained by candidates in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), affecting the sanctity of the exam. Candidates can receive up to 12 deprivation points based on several factors.
