The central government has increased Delhi Lieutenant Governor's powers. He can constitute any authority, board, commission or any statutory body by whatever name it may be called under laws enacted for Delhi. He can also appoint any government officer or ex-officio member to these bodies. The notification will include Delhi Commission for Women and State Election Commission, among other bodies.
