Delhi government has launched a 'Paryavaran Mitra' campaign to improve the city's environment. Under the campaign, the government will register people working or willing to work for environmental protection as 'Paryavaran Mitra' and form ward-level teams, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said. Notably, 1,742 volunteers registered themselves as 'Paryavaran Mitras' within a day of its launch.
