The India Meteorological Department has predicted that Delhi is likely to witness severe heatwave conditions on May 15. According to the IMD, the national capital is witnessing above normal temperatures ranging from 40 to 46 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, amid the heatwave conditions, Delhi's peak power demand rose to 6,572 MW on Wednesday, the highest ever in the month of May.
