A Delhi man, NS Padmanabhan, on Sunday made a donation of ₹1.01 crore via a bank demand draft to Tirupati Balaji temple. The devotee has requested the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to use the money for treating poor people suffering from major illnesses at hospitals run by the temple administration. This comes amid cash crunch in the country due to demonetisation.
