Phones across Delhi-NCR received an 'extremely severe alert' on Thursday evening. "Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds (70-90 km/h, increasing up to 100 km/h), along with moderate to heavy rain and hailstorms, are likely during the next three hours," it said. This is the second such emergency alert since Centre launched SACHET, a mobile-based disaster alert system.
