Delhi Police denies mass surveillance at Jantar Mantar protests in SC, says it was for criminals
The Delhi Police, in an affidavit filed in Supreme Court, denied allegations of mass surveillance using facial recognition technology during last month's student protests at Jantar Mantar. It stated that the system doesn't profile every individual and only captures those with prior criminal records. "No actions are taken solely based upon the result of the facial recognition system," it added.
