Delhi Police on Tuesday moved the Delhi High Court (HC) to challenge a trial court's order of discharging 11 people initially accused in the 2019 Jamia Nagar violence case. The discharged persons included student activists Sharjeel Imam and Asif Iqbal Tanha. In its February 4 order, the trial court said the discharged persons were made "scapegoats" by the police.
