short by Garima Garg / on Tuesday, 20 October, 2026
Delhi Police transferred the Jantar Mantar trespassing case involving CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka to Crime Branch's Inter-State Cell for further investigation. This came after a Special Executive Magistrate extended their judicial custody by two days. Police said they can't afford a law-and-order situation during festive season to oppose their release. They're lodged in Tihar Jail.
