Delhi power suppliers to pay consumers for long power cuts

Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has notified of a new rule under which consumers will be compensated by power distribution companies if they don't restore an outage for more than two to three hours. The consumers will get a compensation of ₹10 per kW per hour from the power distribution companies under this scheme, which comes into effect from September.
