Delhi has seen an unusual rise in butterflies this year, recording 70 species- up from last year's 68. Scientists said some Himalayan species reached the city after their eggs or larvae came on transported plants and emerged in Delhi's warmer environment. Sightings grew in botanical parks and restored green belts, where new green corridors helped butterflies move, feed, and breed.
