Delhi saw the season's hottest day on March 11 as the maximum temperature reached 36.8°C, which is 8.4 degrees above normal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted "no large change in maximum temperatures during the next 24 hours," after which temperatures will gradually fall by 3-5°C. IMD also predicted "a spell of very light rain" on March 15.
