Delhi's 2nd Waste to Energy plant to start in October

The Ghazipur Waste to Energy (WtE) plant, a facility which combusts wastes to produce electricity, will be commissioned this month. The plant, which will use 1,300 tonnes of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) from the Ghazipur landfill site daily, is expected to generate 12 megawatts of energy. This will be Delhi's second such facility, after the operational Timarpur-Okhla WtE plant.
