Centre on Monday announced that the Rajpath (formerly 'Kingsway') and Central Vista lawns area in New Delhi will be renamed 'Kartavya Path'. Rajpath is the boulevard that runs from the Rashtrapati Bhawan through Vijay Chowk and India Gate, National War Memorial to National Stadium. This comes days ahead of the scheduled reopening of the refurbished Central Vista on September 8.
