Dengue cases in Bengal cross 4,500 mark
West Bengal has recorded over 500 new dengue cases in the past seven days, taking the state's total tally this year to more than 4,500. Murshidabad remains the worst-affected district with 870 cases, including 96 new infections. Kolkata follows with 402 cases, while health officials say intensified door-to-door surveillance helped detect infections early.
