A 28-year-old woman on Friday became the first person to be fined in Denmark for violating the country's ban on full-face veils in public places. She was fined 1000 Danish Kroner (over ₹10,600) for wearing a niqab at a shopping centre. The woman left the venue after she was told to either remove the veil or leave the public space.
