Denmark to build world's first energy island in North Sea

Denmark on Thursday approved a plan to build the world's first energy island in the North Sea. The artificial island will produce and store greenhouse energy to provide electricity for three million European households. The island, which is currently in its initial phase, will be the size of 18 football fields and would cost 210 billion Danish kroner ($33.9 billion).
