The total amount of deposits in Jan Dhan accounts is set to cross ₹90,000 crore, the Finance Ministry has said. The deposits, which have been steadily rising since March 2017, already reached nearly ₹89,258 crore as on January 30, it stated. Over 34 crore accounts have been opened under the scheme so far, with an average deposit of ₹2,615.
