Dev Meena sets new national record in men's pole vault at Asiad

Pole vaulter Dev Kumar Meena on Tuesday became the first-ever Indian man to clear the 5.50m mark at the Asian Games, setting a new national record. He broke his own national record of 5.46m which he had set at the Inter-State Athletics National Championships earlier this year. Dev finished seventh in the pole vault final at Asian Games 2026.
