IPS officer Devender Singh Chauhan, who was the Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Hyderabad, took charge as Commissioner of Rachakonda Police on Saturday. Outgoing Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, who has been transferred and posted as ADGP of Telangana CID, congratulated Chauhan. The Telangana government on Thursday transferred six senior IPS officers and gave them new postings.
