DG shipping bars 366 foreign ships over unpaid wages, crew abuse

India's DG Shipping, the maritime regulator, has barred 366 foreign-flagged vessels from hiring Indian seafarers over allegations of unpaid wages, abandonment, denial of compensation and crew mistreatment. The maritime regulator classified 278 ships as restricted and 88 as blacklisted. DG Shipping called the violations a breach of maritime laws.
