India's aviation watchdog DGCA had warned Air India Express about the delay in fixing an engine issue in Airbus aircraft in March 2025, months before the Ahmedabad Air India Boeing plane crash, Reuters reported. DGCA also reportedly reprimanded Air India Express for falsifying records to show compliance. The airline told Reuters it acknowledged the error to DGCA.
