The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has projected that trade across India on Dhanteras is expected to cross the ₹1 lakh crore mark. The gold and silver trade alone has reached over ₹60,000 crore, said Pankaj Arora, the National President of CAIT's jewellery unit. Sectors including utensils, electrical goods and decorative items are also seeing robust demand, CAIT stated.
