President Droupadi Murmu accepted Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation as Union Education Minister on Saturday. His resignation came amidst nationwide protests against the NEET paper leak and other irregularities in exams. On PM's advice, the President has directed that Cabinet Minister Pralhad Joshi be assigned the charge of the Ministry of Education, in addition to his existing portfolio.
