Ahead of CSK's last IPL 2026 home match against SRH, a 2021 interview of MS Dhoni resurfaced. In the interview, Dhoni had said, "My last ODI...I played in India was in Ranchi. Hopefully...my last T20 will be in Chennai. Whether it's next year or in five years' time...I don't know." Dhoni is yet to play a match in IPL 2026.
