The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) revealed that Aurangzeb demolished Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi temple to build a mosque. The revelation was made in response to an RTI query. The information was based on historical records of a 1920 gazette about Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi temple complex.
