Amazon has laid off over 5% of employees in the communications divisions of Amazon Studios, Prime Video and Music. Calling the elimination a "difficult decision", spokesperson Brad Glasser said, "We're grateful to these employees for their contributions." The affected employees will receive their pay and benefits for 60 days and will be eligible for a severance package and job-placement support.
